Several years ago I made a very valuable contribution to the culinary arts for which people have been thanking me daily for ever since. In fact, just yesterday a random person stopped me on the street and asked me for a dollar. I gladly gave it to him with a wink and wry smile. “Here you go my friend, and no need to thank me for the dollar or the recipe. I know full well that you’re putting this dollar toward ingredients for my Ninja Foodi chicken wings.” He feigned confusion to hide his shyness and then continued pushing his Walmart shopping cart down the street.
Here, I present another chicken wing recipe using a new technological wonder from the mad scientists at Foodi the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone 2-Basket Air Fryer.
This Ninja Foodi air fryer comes with dual cooking baskets allowing you to cook two items at the same time either at the same temp or at different temps. If you’re concerned that the baskets might be too small, don’t worry. The baskets are so large you could fit a small dog in each one. Not that I condone air frying small dogs, but when you have two small dogs who are constantly barking at literally nothing day in and day out** the stench of air-fried dog hair doesn’t seem so bad.
Here’s What You Need
- Thawed chicken wings.
- Olive oil.
- Whatever spices you like. I typically use Kirkland’s sriracha seasoning, Fiesta fatjita seasoning, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. People often ask me (after thanking me, of course) how much of each spice to use. I typically use the “Just Put A Shitload Of It On There” method which is taught in the finest culinary schools you can learn from via correspondence mail.
Here’s What You Do
- Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel.
- Despite the fact that you just patted the wings dry with a paper towel, coat them liberally with olive oil.
- Put all your spices on them.
- Place the wings into the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone 2-Basket Air Fryer (in case you forgot the full name of it) and cook for 20 minutes at 390 degrees flipping the wings halfway through.
- To get them extra burnt, I mean blackened, crank your Ninja Foodi Dual Zone 2-Basket Air Fryer up to 400 and cook for another 5 minutes.
When done, remove the wings from the air fryer, arrange them on a plate in an aesthetically pleasing manner, and snap upwards of 150 photos of them for all of your various social media accounts. Eating them is optional.
** And peeing on things. Let’s not forget about that.
